Squad Program
QPRC Aquatics provides a range of squad lessons across two of our pools; Braidwood and Queanbeyan.
Squad
The squad program is for children who wish to continue their swimming training with either competitive, social or fitness based goals. Our squad program is delivered by an ASCTA qualified coach and is designed to fine tune swimmers stroke and improve swim fitness and speed. We offer two types of squad:
Juniors
Junior Squad focuses on stroke technique and development over all four strokes, skills, dives, turns, squad etiquette, race technique, with an introduction to conditioning. In this squad swimmers are targeting to compete in local club races and school competitions.
Seniors
Senior Squad focuses on advanced race technique, skills and strategy. This program combines pool, dry land training and video analysis. In this squad, swimmers are targeting to compete at competitive swim meets including State Championships.
Squad Lessons Requests
We understand and appreciate your interest in enrolling in squad lessons. The demand for lessons far outweighs supply.
Therefore, to assist us, we ask that you:

- If any of the classes have availability that suit you, please get in touch via the Online Request Form or Paper Request Form
- If there is no availability for any classes that suit you, please look again after week nine of term

Queanbeyan Operating Dates
TERM ONE
Monday 5 February 2024 to Sunday 14 April 2024
No Lessons on the Public Holiday (Monday 1 April 2024)
This will be a 13 week term for Monday students. This will be a 14 week term for all other students.
TERM TWO
Monday 15 April 2024 to Thursday 4 July 2024
No Lessons on the Public Holiday (Monday 10 June 2024)
This will be a 11 week term for Monday students. This will be a 12 week term for all other students.
TERM THREE
Monday 15 July 2024 to Thursday 26 September 2024
This will be a 11 week term for all students.
TERM FOUR
Monday 30 September 2024 to Thursday 19 December 2024
No Lessons on the Public Holiday (Monday 7 October 2024)
This will be a 11 week term for Monday students. This will be a 12 week term for all other students.
Please note, squad lesson operation is dependent on student demand, lane availability and coach availability.
