Spring 2023 Edition
Welcome to our first issue of the Aquatics Newsletter! I am very excited to share our summer opening hours and exciting updates from our pools. I hope this information helps you stay better connected to your local pool.

Summer Hours
The Outdoor Pool will open on 9 October 2023
Weekday hours 5.30am to 8.00pm
Weekend hours 7.00am to 6.00pm
From 1 December 2023 to 29 February 2024 7.00am to 7.00pm
Splash Park will open on Saturday 4 November 2023
Weekday hours (during school term) 3.00pm to 6.00pm
Weekday hours (during school holidays) 10.00am to 5.00pm
Weekend hours 10.00am to 5.00pm
Programs
Term 4 swimming lessons begin on Monday 9 October 2023 and run until Sunday 17 December 2023. The Squad program begins on Monday 25 September and runs until Thursday 14 December 2023.
Lesson fees need to be paid prior to the first lesson in Week 1 of Term (9 October 2023). Payments can be made upfront in full or by direct debit.
QPRC Aquatics Eastern Pools – Bungendore, Braidwood & Captains Flat
The pools at Braidwood, Bungendore and Captains Flat are due to open on Thursday 2 November 2023.
Braidwood and Bungendore Pool will be open:
Monday to Sunday 11.00am to 6.30pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6.00am to 8.00am
Captains Flat pool will be open:
During school term
Monday to Friday 2.00pm to 6.30pm
Saturday to Sunday 11.00am to 6.30pm
During school holidays
Monday to Sunday 11.00am to 6.30pm

We have had a busy winter season making all kinds of improvements in preparation for the summer ahead:
Braidwood pool update
The outdoor pool in Braidwood is progressing and we hope to be in operation by November.
Important announcements
Did you know you can purchase your summer passes online? Click here! Summer passes can only be used at Braidwood, Bungendore and Captains Flat Pools but are interchangeable.
Lifeguards are an important safety feature but do not replace the close supervision of a parent or guardian. Please keep watch of those in your care.
Closing the pool for water quality incidents is costly and inconvenient. Please ensure that any child under the age of 3 or not toilet trained is wearing a swimming nappy.
QPRC Aquatics staff strive to enforce our Conditions of Entry consistently. We ask that both patrons and staff show respect for each other as well as the venue, Conditions of Entry and equipment in order to assist us in providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all. Aggressive behaviour and any form of verbal or physical abuse to our staff will not be tolerated.
